Williams Valve Corp is Hiring a CNC Operator Near Long Island, NY

CNC OPERATOR

Williams Valve is an established valve manufacturer operating for more than 100 years. We are looking for a CNC Lathe and Milling Operator role located in Long Island City, NY. Detail oriented to work closely with fellow team members to ensure products are manufactured correct. In addition, we will also provide training (even if you are familiar), free uniform, and you'll get to work with people who have worked with us for over twenty years in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Lathes (Okuma a plus)
  • Set up, operate, and maintain conventional mills and lathes
  • First piece inspection
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Conduct tool offsets and compensations
  • Assist with production as necessary
  • Responsible to maintain quality and productivity standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Coordinate required machine maintenance at regular intervals
  • Must be detail-oriented, dedicated, be reliable, dynamic, enthusiastic

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years CNC machining experience
  • Minimum 3 years conventional experience
  • Determine machine control settings (offsets) to regulate positioning, speeds and feeds
  • Knowledge of safety protocol

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
