Williams Plumbing / Williams Civil Construction is Hiring a Civil Engineer Near Bozeman, MT

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and completing the design of road, utility, and site projects. This person will be responsible for leading the full life cycle of a civil project including proposal preparation, client contracts, and budgets management through design-build construction. This role will work collaboratively with the construction team through constructability, budgeting, and hand-off. The successful candidate will be experienced in creating engineering products to meet customer quality requirements for a client projects, uphold high standards of communication and customer service, and be familiar with working within municipal and state agencies.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepares schematics and drawings for construction
  • Performs design computations for buildings to ensure compliance with sound engineering practices and codes
  • Works with construction team to estimate cost and schedule of projects
  • Writes engineering specifications
  • Provides oversight and coordinates the work of contractors to ensure appropriate execution of construction drawings
  • Serves as project manager for engineering projects within the Civil discipline
  • Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures across department
  • Research new and improved engineering and design practices
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

What You Bring:

  • 6 years of experience in civil engineering projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Licensed PE
  • Demonstrated track record of success in Civil Engineering design and build projects
  • Advanced design experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with client management
  • Experience with CAD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D
  • Experience with local municipalities; Montana DEQ
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated
  • MS in Civil Engineering is a plus
