Williams is hiring a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager to play a pivotal role in managing BIM/VDC processes and technologies specific to plumbing projects and construction while overseeing a team of BIM specialists.

What You'll Do:

  • BIM Implementation and Leadership:
    • Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows tailored to plumbing trade projects.
    • Lead and mentor a team of BIM specialists, providing guidance and direction for their professional growth.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure the effective use of BIM throughout the project life cycle.
    • Ensure that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project.
  • Model Creation and Management:
    • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and coordination of 3D plumbing models using BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit).
    • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of plumbing models, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and related components.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Foster collaboration among various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
    • Conduct clash detection and resolution meetings to identify and resolve conflicts in plumbing systems.
    • Promote effective communication within the BIM team and with project stakeholders.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to team members on BIM tools and workflows related to plumbing systems.
    • Stay current with the latest BIM trends and technologies and ensure the team is trained accordingly.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular reviews of plumbing models to maintain high-quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications.
    • Establish and enforce quality control procedures for plumbing BIM deliverables.
  • Project Documentation:
    • Oversee the documentation of BIM processes and project-specific workflows.
    • Create and maintain a library of plumbing families, templates, and standards for reuse in future projects.
  • Team Development and Performance:
    • Recruit, train, and evaluate the performance of team members.
    • Set team goals, provide ongoing feedback, and facilitate professional development.
  • Research and Innovation:
    • Stay current with emerging BIM trends, plumbing industry best practices, and technological advancements.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative approaches within plumbing BIM.

What You Bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in BIM management with a focus on wet side mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
  • BIM-related certifications are a plus.
