The firm also represents small business owners in creating, buying and selling businesses. The firm actively assists business owners in legacy planning.
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience practicing estate planning law and a background in drafting estate planning documents, advising clients on tax-efficient strategies, administering trusts and estates and dealing with businesses and their owners. The candidate should possess excellent analytical, communication, and client management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
· Provide estate planning services to clients, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
· Conduct thorough reviews of clients' financial situations and family dynamics to develop customized estate plans that meet their goals and objectives.
· Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies for wealth preservation, asset protection, and minimizing estate, gift, and income taxes.
· Administer trusts and estates, including asset transfers, beneficiary distributions, tax filings, and compliance with legal requirements.
· Educate clients on estate planning concepts, laws, and regulations, and address their questions and concerns with clarity and professionalism.
Work with business owners in forming business entities, selling businesses and business continuation matters.
Qualifications:
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
· Admission to the state bar and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction.
· Minimum of five years of experience practicing estate planning and/or business law, preferably in a reputable law firm or private practice setting.
· Strong knowledge of estate planning techniques, tax laws, and business regulations.
· Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
· Proven ability to manage multiple client matters and deadlines simultaneously.
