Job Title: Compliance Assistant

Summary:

The Compliance Assistant position provides organizational, data validation, and data entry support to the Compliance Office Manager. The Compliance Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting the data validation process when reviewing federal paperwork for all transactions that require specific compliance with ATF recordkeeping procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Data validation and double-checking for all federal forms and electronic A&D systems

•Creating contacts (FFL Dealers and customer contacts) within the electronic A&D system

•Assist in the prompt response to all ATF, or State Firearm Trace Requests

•Assist in ensuring all firearms are acquired and disposed of correctly 

•Assist with completion of multi-sale handgun forms

•Support processes and inventories related to NFA items (physical inventories, updating gun records, maintaining/verifying Form 3s & Form 4s, coordinating transfer process with Silencer Shop, etc.)

Note: Not all duties listed above will be the immediate responsibility of the selected candidate. Duties will be added as the person is trained in each area.

Education, Skills, and Requirements:

•High School diploma or equivalent required

•Strong attention to detail required

•Excellent communication and organization skills required

•Strong computer skills including Excel and experience with ERP software an asset

•Experience with data entry is an asset

•Ability to multi-task effectively is an asset

•Employee must possess the physical requirements to perform activities listed above.

•Employee must be physically able to stand, walk, and/or sit for a period of time.

•Employee must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. comfortably.
