How you will make a Difference

You will have the opportunity to assist guests during some of their most challenging times. You will be called on to make a difference by creating and providing exceptional customer and employee experiences. As a IT Specialist you will report to the IT Manager to provide advice, assistance and support for end user issues as they relate to computer hardware, software, and local networking. The IT Specialist will also be responsible for onboarding and off-boarding employees. This person will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations and respond to all tickets. We are looking for a responsive, highly productive and resourceful professional who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can work autonomously. You will:

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 support as necessary during operations
  • Update support tickets with detailed information
  • Document knowledge base articles and refine help desk workflows
  • Troubleshoot intermediate networking issues for branch offices
  • Onboard and offboard users - administer all user accounts and groups on all systems. This includes setting up new users, changes to user accounts and termination of accounts upon employee separation
  • Configure computer hardware and smart devices, install software, and ship/collect equipment from branch offices
  • Assist with office moves as needed
  • Track and update computer inventory
  • Upgrade and track internet service and phone providers for branch offices
  • Coordinate and support external vendors, such as our security gate, internet and telephone providers
  • Be available for off-hours, including weekends for support and maintenance responsibilities as needed

Please note that you may be asked to perform a variety of duties from time to time, which may not fall strictly in your job description. For a variety of business, safety, and technical reasons, it is necessary that all positions at WWG maintain a high level of flexibility in reference to duties you will be expected to perform.

About You:

  • Education: BA/BS Degree Preferred
  • Experience: 2-3 years’ IT experience. Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role 
  • Technical Skills: Extremely proficient with Windows and have a strong understanding of basic networking concepts, experience managing and maintaining Active Directory, ticketing system and Google Workspace
  • Organization/Multi-tasking: Exceptional organization skills with the ability to allocate one’s time effectively, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities; ability to prioritize workload; and an ability to work at a detailed level. Energetic self-starter with an ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. 
  • Advanced Troubleshooting skills: ability to research and resolve issues, creative thinker, work autonomously, quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Relationship skills: ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships – both internal and external.
  • Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills
