Seeking an experienced Quality Engineer. Excellent career opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee first article, PPAP, capability analysis, gage R & R as deemed necessary for customer programs. To include planning verification, validation, monitoring inspection and test activities specific to the product.
  • Review and confirm product quality requirements are met including documentation as necessary. Review, approve and develop (as needed) product verification plans and respective test methods.
  • Perform verifications and testing according to product requirements.
  • Ensure project and processes meet all requirements and reliability standards and requirements. Work with engineering, account management and manufacturing personnel to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Develop product specific control plans while assuring only the most recent are in use.
  • Review manufacturing routers are completed and correct.
  • Review product nonconformity reports for accuracy, and completeness of corrective and preventive action.
  • Responsible for the identification, calibration and maintenance of monitoring equipment, gaging.
  • Partial responsibility for conducting internal quality audits, including monitoring and meeting the schedule as defined, generating quality audit findings and performing the necessary follow-up audits on time.
  • Responsible for developing, driving, communicating any and all quality related requirements including customer, or quality management system requirements.
  • Assist in working with and developing suppliers as necessary, including product validation, corrective and preventive action, and support guidance.
  • Work as part of the quality team, and in close coordination with other teams throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Responsible for supplier auditing or performing root cause and corrective action at their facility or overseeing such activity to prevent the delivery of defective product.
  • Understand customer requirements and expectations of new programs and develop the necessary plans or criteria (process design) to ensure personnel understand and are involved in the requirements, and defective parts are not manufactured and/or are detected. Create documentation, quality tests assuring requirements can and are met.
  • Be instrumental in the role of customer advocate, assisting in expectations and requirements while communicating and developing quality “needs” and “practices” for successful programs.
  • Must have good, quick problem solving skills and, most importantly, people management skills for dealing with internal personnel and HPMs customers while addressing and properly handling their concerns.
  • Ensure final products are safe and meet customer expectations while keeping the manufacturing process as effective and cost-effective as possible.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree.

2. 3 or more years of Manufacturing Quality Engineering experience.
