Willamette View community is seeking a Variable Part Time RN/LPN to join a team to provide schedule and time off coverage for a six bed boutique skilled nursing facility (SNF). Noc shift hourly includes a $3.00 p/h shift differential!!

As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility will be to oversee the care plan for residents. It involves ensuring that all members of the nursing team follow care directions appropriately, thereby maintaining a high standard of services. Your approach should reflect a solid understanding of the principles and values associated with Assisted Living and the care of individuals with dementia, aligning with state laws and regulations. Emphasis should be on shared responsibility with residents, supporting their choices, dignity, independence, individuality, privacy, and right to decision making.

In this capacity, your daily tasks will include making rounds, identifying early signs and symptoms, and noting changes in residents' physical and psychological statuses. Consultation with supervisors, physicians, Resident Care Managers, or the Director of Nursing Services may be necessary. You will also supervise the nursing department's staffing, monitor and schedule job assignments, and establish priorities for the nursing unit. Additionally, you'll provide emotional support to residents and families in a professional manner. Courteously greeting residents, visitors, and staff to promote respect and dignity, you will perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting. It is crucial to uphold the privacy and confidentiality of information related to both residents and employees.

Qualifications:

  • RN (Registered Nurse) / LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) current Oregon unencumbered license.
  • Maintains current certification in CPR.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability and desire for professional growth.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and competence in practicing the principles of good nursing care.
  • Able to interact well with staff as well as residents and their families.
  • Able to prioritize multi-demanding role using initiative and judgment.
