What is the Maintenance Specialist experience?

As the Maintenance Specialist at Willamette View, you will work with a team in the Maintenance department to keep facilities in good repair by performing routine and scheduled maintenance duties. In this role, you'll be expected to:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs for plumbing, light electrical, appliances, painting, and other repairs as needed.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues related to heating and cooling systems, appliances, and plumbing systems.
  • Perform routine building inspections to identify potential safety hazards and needed repairs.
  • Complete work orders as scheduled and communicate status of pending work orders with supervisor, residents, and co-workers as necessary.
  • Always maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
  • You will serve on a rotating schedule every six weeks for one week at a time after hours and weekend on call duty with a $250 dollars added to your check even if you do not have to come in and a minimum of 2 hours pay if you do.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What are the job qualifications?

  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is important but this job has on the job training we do qualify everyone but need both experienced people and team members looking for an opportunity to learn.
  • Must have knowledge and awareness to comply with all standard OSHA and State safety regulations and policies.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work orders and responsibilities and integrate non-scheduled work tasks into routine schedules.
  • Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.
  • This is a team environment we learn from each other; it is very important that our applicants are a fit.
