JOB SUMMARY

 Assists Beverage Manager in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and customers regarding alcohol service. Oversees bar security making sure all OLCC and Wildhorse regulations/policies are adhered to regarding alcohol service/sales. Assigns bar security staff to monitor the bars or gaming floor for alcohol service and guest behavior. Assists the Assistant Beverage Manager with managing crowd control and supporting casino staff in any way possible.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Promotes exemplary guest service standards through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  2. Supervision of staff to include performance, coaching, counseling, employee orientation, training, and staff scheduling.
  3. Assists and maintains with updating training manual, policies, and procedures for bar security and areas of responsibility.
  4. Promote understanding and compliance with WRC procedures/policies, OLCC regulations, and guidelines as directed. Train and guide employees accordingly.
  5. Assists management in identifying potential issues, including intoxicated customers, possible altercations involving customers, and/or any illegal activity.
  6. Cuts off and removes any alcoholic drinks from an intoxicated customer. Follows established notification procedures.
  7. Assists casino security in removing problem customers from the casino.
  8. Enforces alcohol service times with guests, assists with closing time, and removes alcoholic beverages.
  9. Ensure minors stay on the assigned pathway through the casino floor.
  10. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the manager.
  11. Adheres to company policies, regulatory laws, codes, department procedures, safety codes, etc.
  12. Ensures that operations of equipment, tools, and materials are handled safely.
  13. Promotes internal guest service standards with courteous and respectful behavior with co-workers.
  14. Ensures bar security keeps calm and level-headed under stressful situations, and leads by example.
  15. Remain positive towards all departments in interactions, and ensures bar security does as well.
  16. Obtains a First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

  1. Sports bar, lobby bar, and beverage floor employees on shift.

SIGNATORY ABILITY:

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:

  1. Food and Beverage storage area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Two (2) years of Security, Law Enforcement, or Military service experience.
  2. One (1) year of supervisory experience.
  3. Effective communication auditory acuity, able to respond to questions and provide information.
  4. High School Diploma or GED.
  5. Stand or walk for long periods; physically detain disorderly guests as needed, perform routine bending and lifting of product up to 20lbs.; perform repetitive motions of arms, hands, wrists, and fingers; occasionally lift and maneuver up to 120lbs.; and works in the varied (hot, cold, noisy, smoky) environment.
  6. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  7. Must possess or obtain Food Handlers and OLCC certificates within 30 days of employment.
  8. Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  9. Must be at least 21 years of age.
