Wild Zora Foods (wildzora.com) manufactures and distributes healthy, portable, and delicious food made from free-range proteins mixed with organic fruits & vegetables. We prepare, dehydrate, package, and ship nationwide from our Federally-inspected, USDA-certified, manufacturing facility located in Loveland, Colorado.

We are looking for a qualified candidate to run and manage the machinery and production of our large commercial food freeze-drying operation. The very large and technical machines run 24/7, so working time flexibility is extremely important to ensure fast and efficient turnover of the machine and minimum downtime. High attention to detail is required to ensure production efficiency, proper documentation, and perfect safety for both the machine operators and the finished food. Both mechanical and computer proficiency is a must in order to ensure optimal performance. Management of a small staff will be required for loading, offloading, packaging, and sanitation. Experience in food manufacturing is a plus but not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a large commercial freeze-drying operation, preferably during daytime business hours, but sometimes on evenings and weekends.
• Manual loading and unloading of machines.
• Precision measurement and documentation of run data and finished product.
• Management of a small team of loaders/unloaders & cleaning staff.
• Maintain adequate tools & supplies necessary for the production process.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a (preferably food) production environment.
• Minimum 1 year experience with team management.
• Proficiency working with data in spreadsheet form.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic Spanish communication (or willingness to learn).
• Familiarity with materials handling procedures.

This is a full-time, salaried position working in our production plant in Loveland, Colorado. We pay a competitive compensation plan with benefits including paid vacation, sick pay, paid holidays, health insurance, and a retirement plan. Some of our machines run 24/7 and while a 40-hour work week is expected, responsiveness and availability outside of regular business hours is required.

Most of our products contain meat, so you will need to be comfortable working daily in our meat-processing facility.
