Job description:
As a Conservation Landscaping Crew Member, you will be instrumental in enhancing the natural beauty and ecological value of various landscapes. This part-time role focuses on installing and maintaining native plants in both residential and commercial settings, working closely with our dedicated team to ensure project success and alignment with our environmental stewardship goals.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM with potential for additional seasonal hours.
Compensation:
Starting at $17.25 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plant Installation: Collaborate with a small team (2-4 landscapers) to plant native grasses, wildflowers, shrubs, trees, and vines.
· Project Execution: Assist in the implementation of landscape designs while adhering to contracts, budgets, schedules, and safety standards.
· Training and Learning: Gain knowledge of native plant landscaping techniques under the guidance of experienced crew members.
· Performance Support: Work alongside the crew leader to monitor and enhance project execution.
· Client Interaction: Engage with clients to ensure satisfaction and clear communication throughout project implementation.
Requirements (ideal candidate):
· Interest in Conservation: Demonstrated passion for native plant landscaping and environmental sustainability.
· Hands-On Experience: Prior experience in landscaping or horticulture is preferred.
· Safety Awareness: Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to adhere to regulations.
· Team Collaboration: Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively within diverse groups.
· Adaptability: Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of physical activities such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
· Learning Mindset: Eager to learn and implement best practices in native plant care and maintenance.
