Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper to join our team. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This is a hands-on role that requires experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, and the use of power tools.

Duties:

- Perform routine groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming lawns, fertilizing. Some knowledge of IPM and pesticide/herbicide knowledge for the health care of ornamental plants and turf and also able to use the proper spray equipment and maintain as necessary.

- Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees by planting, pruning, and watering

- Operate and maintain power tools and equipment used in groundskeeping activities

- Ensure that walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas are clean and free of debris

- Assist with the installation of new landscaping features such as irrigation systems or outdoor lighting

- Mangage and maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing systems and starting them up in the spring. Be able to adjust the amount of water consumption to prevent waste.

- Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute landscaping projects

- Monitor and report any issues or concerns related to the condition of outdoor spaces

Experience:

- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or related field

- Familiarity with the use of power tools and equipment used in groundskeeping

- Knowledge of hand tools commonly used in gardening and landscaping

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
