Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about dentistry, detail-oriented, and dedicated to ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. As a Dental Assistant in our office, you will play a key role in assisting the dentist, preparing for the day's appointments, and providing excellent patient care.

Job Duties:

• Greet patients and make them feel welcome
• Check in lab cases and ensure they are ready for the day's procedures at least 2 days before the patient is scheduled to come in for seats/delivery
• Chart prep your patients for the day to ensure you are ready to go for your whole day before the day is started. Be set up and ready when your first patient arrives to help the goal of ‘Start on time, End on time’
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including chairside assisting and passing instruments
• Take x-rays and have them displayed for Dr. Murfree to keep him on track for the day as well.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain equipment
• Prepare and maintain dental materials, such as cements, impression materials, and restorative materials
• Keep rooms stocked.
• Ensure patients are seen on time by efficiently seating and preparing them for treatment
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all office policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
• Make sure all patient charts are closed prior to seating a patient in the OP for HIPPA reasons, only have that patient chart displayed, do not have notes showing.

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience
• Nitrous Oxide monitoring Certification
• Sealants Certification
• X-Ray Certification
• Experience with Dentrix/Open Dental
