Wilcox Industries is Hiring a CNC Vertical Mill Junior Setup Machinist Near Newington, NH

We are currently seeking full-time CNC Vertical Mill Junior Setup Machinist to work Monday through Friday day shift (1st shift), or Monday through Thursday (2nd shift). This individual is a trained craftsman or tradesperson who not only operates machine tools but also has the knowledge of tooling and materials required to create set ups on machine tools to cut material into quality product parts within tight tolerances. This position sets up and runs the CNC Vertical Mill machine, monitors it for problems, and takes corrective action. Roles And Responsibilities
Reads and sets up basic proven programs and makes minor adjustments without supervision
Loads and sets up new tools into the machine and assigns appropriate tooling and offset ID within the program
Sets work offsets for the running program
Carries out machine operations as instructed
Inspects parts being loaded and unloaded to meet visual and physical quality standards
Identifies and replaces any broken or worn tools and makes tool offsets to ensure the quality of parts produced
Completes first piece inspection to ensure quality parts produced with minimal scrap
Mentors and provides guidance to operator machinists and other setup machinists for any running job in the Vertical Mill area
Completes fully and accurately Travelers by adjusting process information (current rev.) and setup /run times
Ensures compliance with ITAR, EAR, and other federal requirements
Process Improvement:
Identifies problems, provides possible solutions, seeks guidance, and participates in corrective action
Follows process and/or participates in process improvement and process documentation updates
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Know how to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
Possesses a good understanding of program layout and tooling used
Ability to use precision measuring instruments and gauges to check part tolerances according to drawings
Have required precision measuring tools (Caliper, Micrometer)
Regular on-site attendance is a necessary function of this position.
Wilcox is a U.S. Government defense contractor and this position requires access to export-controlled technology. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access U.S. government-controlled technology prior to beginning work.

Must be able to work in noisy environments
Prolonged periods of standing and bending required
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times
Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access all parts of the machine
Must wear eye and ear protection
