Wilbert Plastic Services is looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician who will take responsibility for completing work orders and other required tasks in order to upkeep good condition and functionality of our plant.

Job Summary

Our Maintenance Tech II will provide technical support for 3rd shift . Our Tech II will provide leadership, clarifies requirements, and defines expectations to the maintenance techs; maintains, repairs, and improves manufacturing machinery with minimal interruption to the production schedule. The Tech II is also required to trouble-shoot and develop a root cause and solution to equipment issues. Expected to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision. Thorough understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the maintenance field with a focus on equipment automation.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance to team members
  • Review Plant Intelligence Center monitor to prioritize machine maintenance and repairs
  • Repair, maintain and rebuild machinery, mechanical equipment and secondary equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, robotics, automation and control systems such as programmable logic controllers.
  • Troubleshoot all plant equipment and prescribe required maintenance to assure satisfactory operation with minimum downtime.
  • Able to read and understand drawings, prints, diagrams and manufacturers' printed instructions as needed.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections as required. Adjust, repair or replace defective parts or materials.
  • Fabricate new equipment or supplemental pieces when needed by using tooling machines.
  • Install or oversee installation of new equipment and electrical service
  • Perform machine calibrations using prescribed equipment.
  • Add options to production equipment in order to enhance capability.
  • Perform facility maintenance as required to ensure that all building systems are maintained.
  • Document all related work activity.
  • Report immediately to supervisor those problems and unusual situations which cannot be resolved quickly.
  • Communicate with maintenance manager on planned/completed tasks
  • Safely use forklifts and other equipment needed for job task.
  • Observe all safety requirements including Lock Out Tag Out and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

Schedule:

3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday

Qualifications and education requirements:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in hydraulics and electronics preferred, but not required
  • 4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hydraulic and PLC experience is preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift license

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical production equipment
  • Proficient in pneumatics, robotics, automation and control systems
  • Knowledge regarding welding and fabrication
  • Proficient in trouble shooting maintenance issues that arise and able to take action in solving them.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to other employees and other departments
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.65 - $27.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
