Duties and Responsibilities

You will operate forming machines, band saws, and related hand/power tools to produce high quality finished parts, on time and in acceptable quantities to meet customer specifications.

You will:

• assist with changeovers on rotary machines
• participate in all activities involved in making quality parts: production and packaging of parts, filling out proper tags, and completing documentation as required
• maintain a neat and orderly work area
• perform other duties as assigned
• fill in for other production positions as needed
• maintain an acceptable level of attendance
• comply with company safety policies and work guidelines

*Physical Demands

*May be required to:

• lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• pull or push objects in excess of 50 pounds several times per shift
• lift, or assist in handling, a large plastic sheet weighing 35 - 50 pounds for 50% of work time, including pulling and pushing upwards. All movements are repetitive, using upper body and/or extremities, while on your feet and moving 100% of the time
• climb up on, in, and around machines, and work around moving machinery

Preferred:

• High School or equivalent
• basic math and reading skills, and the ability to learn quickly
• previous hand and power tool experience
• experience with related machines
• ability to communicate orally and in writing, understand how to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate to the next shift employees any critical concerns with the current job running
• ability to work well with others with minimal supervision

Experience

• machine operator: 1 year (preferred)
• manufacturing: 1 years (preferred)
