The Wilbert Group is a precast concrete manufacturer and service provider that serves the funeral service, building trades, and agricultural markets. The Wilbert Group offers a range of manufactured concrete products, including burial vaults, monuments, lawn crypts, columbarium niches, septic tanks, retaining walls, storm shelters, and agricultural precast products. The company operates manufacturing plants, warehouses, monument production facilities, a casket manufacturing plant, and nine crematories. Their monument division produces granite memorials and markers, custom granite signage, and engraved brick pavers, and they also engage in wholesale monument sales.

Manufacturing Duties:

• Cleans the monuments prior to stencil application
• Applies the stencil monument and picks letters and designs out of stencil
• Apply and patching needed for sandblasting preparation

Responsibilities:

• Precision Etching: Locate the center of the stone surface and meticulously apply stencils according to specified cut lines.
• Stencil Preparation: Ensure the stencils are properly prepared for the sandblasting process.
• Stone Loading: Safely load stones onto designated racks, demonstrating the ability to handle weights ranging from 100lbs to 200lbs.
• Sandblasting Expertise: Operate sandblasting equipment within a blast booth to etch comes and designs onto the stone surfaces, maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
• Post-Etching Cleanup: Remove stencils and thoroughly clean the etched stones to achieve a pristine finish.
• Quality Assurance: Compare and review stencils with the layout for verification, ensuring precise execution of designs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Some experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
