Wieland is hiring a Electronics Recycling and Processing Associate. The role will be responsible for sorting and organizing e-waste material according to guidelines. Maintain good housekeeping of assigned area. Dismantle and separate materials using hand tools or operation of a machine. Assemble and package metals for shipping. This position will work directly as a liaison between the production and commercial departments. This role is located in Location and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $18-22 per hour
Schedule: 7:00 am- 3:30 pm
ResponsibilitiesRole R esponsibilities:
- Sort and organize e-waste material into bins, boxes or bags.
- Operate and observe machines that are chopping and separating e-waste.
- Sort material by hand at shredder, sortation tables or the use of machines.
- Dismantle e-waste by use of hand tools or other mechanical means.
- Perform routine inspection of work area to ensure proper housekeeping.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor, Safety or HR.
- Follow Daily Procedures & Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
- Operate various small to mid-size mobile equipment (skid steer, forklift, etc.).
- Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
- Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to forklift operations.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
- Use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to grasp, handle separate and hold objects.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, sit and use stairs or a ladder.
- Able to wear all required PPE associated with required tasks.
