As a Land Surveyor-In-Training (LSIT) at Widseth, you will provide surveying services to support of a variety of projects for various clients. This position includes a combination of field and office work.
Your focus will be on:
Conducting field surveys for boundaries, topography, etc.
Preparing topographic and contour maps, including site features and other relevant information in a timely manner.
Provide construction staking for site layout, structures, grading, roadways, drainage features, etc. when necessary.
Comparing survey computations with applicable standards to determine adequacy, compliance, and with legal descriptions.
Interacting with clients and/or contractors. Teamwork and excellent communication are key.
To be considered for this position youll need to meet the minimum qualifications for a Land Surveyor-in-Training role:
Certified Land Surveyor-In-Training designation.
Working towards becoming registered in Minnesota.
Bachelors degree in surveying or related field preferred.
Knowledge of survey equipment such as GPS, Total Station, and data collector.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Knowledge of state-specific standards of practice in Land Surveying.
Valid drivers license.
