Overview:
Wicked Technologies is a Series-A funded company dramatically improving the lives of seniors through our smart bedding solutions! We are seeking a full-time, (or fractional) director of engineering with a proven track record in medical device design, manufacturing, and commercialization.

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering department
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support
- Develop and implement best practices for software development, system administration, and DevOps
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business continuity plans
- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies and project management principles
- Proficiency in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and system administration
- Experience with Angular and .NET frameworks
- Ability to vaticinate technical challenges and provide innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with help desk operations

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $114,176.23 - $137,502.56 per year
