Description

This new position is being created to assist the shop with retail sales, parts and service in a prompt, courteous manner, as well as closing out Parts/Service orders with the Customer. As a Customer Service Representative you are responsible for building relationships with our customers and maintaining a positive last impression. In addition to these responsibilities, we are looking for someone who is ready to get their hands dirty and assist with shop organization and clean up when necessary.

We are happy to help train you to succeed, but your personal motivation and dedication to the job will determine your future with us.

This position will start out as a Contractor/Temporary assignment but will transition into an Employee after you demonstrate your abilities and are determined to be a good fit for the team. You will receive training and feedback to help you succeed, but it will be YOU who will ultimately determine the results.

Compensation and Working Hours

Our shop is open Tuesday through Friday from 10a to 6p, Saturday from 11a to 4p, and we are closed on Sunday and Monday. This is an hourly position that has the opportunity to increase from your starting pay level based on performance.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Must have an outgoing energetic personality with natural ability to relate to customers
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task
• Experience with motorcycles is preferred but not necessary, however you WILL be expected to become proficient in discussing motorcycle parts, accessories and some service work with the Customers (training provided)
• Experience with Point of Sale System or retail sales experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Experience with computers is a requirement to be able to learn the various systems, sites and tools we use to support the business
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and OneNote is a plus
• Must be able to demonstrate cash handling ability
• Must be willing and able to assist with shop organization and clean up

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1) Administration

• Ensure all transactions are correct before accepting payment.
• Initiate, process & maintain all related paperwork and electronic records in an organized manner
• Maintain customer logs and service records by department.
• Answering incoming phone calls and transferring to the appropriate department
• Assist the Service Department Team with researching pricing, accessibility and billing for projects
• Assist with maintaining online systems for parts sales
• Assist with Social Media activities

2) Customer Service

• Provides prompt and accurate service at the customer desk.
• Greet internal and external customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Handle transactions quickly, accurately and courteously.
• You will be responsible for leaving our customers with a positive lasting impression

3) Sales (Parts, Accessories and Service)

• Listen to our Customer's needs and requests to be able to make an informed recommendation to solve their problems and/or needs (we will teach you)
• Become familiar with industry vendors and the different solutions available
• Place special orders and notify customers when their purchases are ready for pickup
• Monitor and assist with responding to online/ecommerce orders from our Customers

4) Shop Assistance (cleaning, organizing and related work)

· Help with keeping the shop organized and clean

Physical Demands

• Finger and hand dexterity is required to operate computers, the register, and handle cash.
• You will be expected to stand when working at the Customer Service Desk and interacting with the Customer, be able walk while carrying small items and also work at a desk when accessing computer systems
• Occasionally required to lift 25lb. of material

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
