Wickcraft Boardwalks is Hiring a Fabricator Near Madison, WI

Basic Function: Level II Fabricator executes all elements necessary for fabrication operations, in the production of the company’s expanding product line.

Nature and Scope: Reporting to the Manager of Production and Fabrication, the Level II Fabricator is responsible for all phases of product fabrication including but not limited to cutting, welding, drilling, bending, and general material handling. Level II Fabricator is required to work in fabrication teams in the execution of performance standards set by the Manager of Production and Fabrication.

Position Support:

This position will require the regular use of company provided tools and equipment. Proper training will be provided where necessary.

Principal Duties:

Level II Fabricator Responsibilities / Experience:

  • Basic wire feed welding / fabricating knowledge
  • Must have basic knowledge of using power tools such as bandsaw, chopsaw, drill press, hand tools, and forklift
  • Must be able to read, understand, and interpret fabrication drawings
  • Must understand and calculate general measurements

Level II Fabricator Requirements:

  • Trade School graduate or equivalent
  • AWS welding certification is a plus
  • Ability to consistently report to work on time
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week (4 – 10-hour shifts)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts if necessary
  • Weekend and/or overtime work will most likely be required
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license and able to provide proof of insurance; must have a good driving record
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Strong work ethic
  • Positive attitude

Experience Criteria:

  • 2 years of steel fabrication and welding experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
