Position Will Be Hybrid, In Office 2-Days a WeekJob Description: The Lead Java Developer is responsible for providing ongoing maintenance and support for complex Java applications. This role involves developing enhancements to the Electronic Test Ordering and Results (ETOR) system for MDHHS State Labs and modernizing the Oral Kinder Garden application for the Child and Adolescent Health business area. The Lead Java Developer plays a crucial role in enhancing the stability and functionality of the ETOR system, ensuring data integrity, SEM/SUITE compliance, and securing the applications.

Responsibilities
- Write well-designed, testable code using Spring MVC, Hibernate framework, jQuery/HTML5, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and Angular
- Develop business application components using Object-Oriented Java/JEE technologies and design principles
- Design and develop RESTful Web Services using the Spring Web MVC framework
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using the Apache Struts framework
- Implement design patterns such as Intercepting Filter, Front Controller, Session Façade, DAO, Singleton, and Service Locator
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC), including gathering requirements and writing functional/technical specifications for complex projects
- Design both logical and physical database models
- Develop database objects, including stored procedures and functions; troubleshoot issues using SQL, PL/SQL scripts, and tune SQL queries
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Use source control tools like GIT and experience with Build Frameworks like Maven
- Develop design documents and work with stakeholders for review and approval
- Experience in large agile projects and working knowledge of Java 8, SOAP Web-Services, and Java Messaging Service (JMS) API
- Familiarity with Spring Boot Projects, Spring Data, Spring Batch, and Spring Security frameworks
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and Active MQ broker is a plus
- Database Design experience in Oracle and SQL Server
- Experience in modern architecture concepts such as microservices, security, cloud, and containerization
- Experience or knowledge of creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
