Job Title: Industrial Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Engineer to join our team. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. You will collaborate with various departments to implement technological solutions, design workstations and layouts, and develop strategies to maximize resources utilization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong problem-solving abilities, and has a deep understanding of manufacturing systems and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, defining, and implementing effective production processes and systems.
  • Identify opportunities and inefficiencies and develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing methods, workflow, and utilization of resources.
  • Evaluating and recommending the adoption of new procedures, equipment, and technologies to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and production staff to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Analyzing production data, such as cycle time, work-in-progress, and production yield, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conducting time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Conducting capacity planning to ensure production capabilities meet demand requirements.
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analyses on production problems and bottleneck constraints.
  • Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions in collaboration with production teams.
  • Providing training and guidance to production staff on best practices, work instructions, and process improvements.
  • Tracking and reporting on project progress, including cost savings, efficiency gains, and overall performance improvements.
  • Assisting in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques to eliminate waste and optimize resources.
  • Conducting risk assessments and recommending corrective actions to ensure workplace safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or other Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting for 5 years.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in utilizing statistical software tools and preferred experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and industrial engineering concepts.
  • Job shop experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both up and down the reporting structure.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
