The Challenge (Job Summary)
NOMS Healthcare University Ophthalmology & Associates is seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our established practice with a rich history spanning over 70 years. Located in eastern suburbs of Cleveland, our practice is proud to be affililiated with University Hospitals of Cleveland in their esteemed Quality Care network. We are committed to delivering exceptional eye care services and boast a fully equipped office featuring 10 exam room, Humphrey visual fields, Zeiss OCT, Argos, Lenstar, and B-scan technology. As an Optometrist with our practice, you play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the visual health of individuals, contributing to their overall well-being.
Your Day to Day & Essential Functions:

• You will conduct thorough eye examinations using state-of-the-art equipment to assess and diagnose a wide range of visual conditions and eye health issues.
• You will utilize your expertise to prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses with consideration for ocular pathology, addressing conditions such as irregular astigmatism or corneal dystrophies.
• You will provide informative and personalized guidance to patients on proper eye care practices, hygiene, and lifestyle choices to promote and maintain optimal eye health.
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date health records using EPIC, ensuring efficient documentation of examination results, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• You'll collaborate closely with Ophthalmologists and other specialist to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• You'll uphold ethical standards in managing ocular pathology cases, ensuring patient autonomy, informed consent, and privacty.

What You Need to Succeed (Competencies, Education):

• Possess a Doctor of Optemtry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
• Obtain and maintain a valid state license to practice optometry.
• Excellent commincation skills to interact with patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Attention to detail is crucial for accurate diagnosis and prescription.
• Stay informed about advacnements in optometry and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Comfortable using advanced diagnostic equipment and electronic health records.
