POSITION DESCRIPTION

AREA: Concession Advisor

REPORTS TO: Activities Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Participates as a member of the WHS Staff
• Acts as a proper role model for high school youth.
• Demonstrates the ability to work well with students, parents volunteer groups and staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Oversees all concessions for all school activities.
• Provides a work schedule for all events and the organizations that will be working those events.
• Responsible for the opening and closing of the concession stand.
• Maintains a current price list of all items sold.
• Responsible for all ordering of items, keeping a detailed inventory of items sold, and all inventory on hand.
• Maintains all machines in good working order, assuring that the machines are cleaned properly after each event.
• Insures that the concession stand is completely set up at the appropriate time.
• In-services concession stand workers as to the functions of concession workers, safety, and courtesy. All students must know how each machine is to function.
• Responsible for the beginning and ending inventory after each event, counting money, paying bills, and reconciliation after each event.
• Responsible for the cleaning up of the concession stand and storing all equipment and product after each event.
• Responsible for the supervision of all students working the concession stand.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions:

• Persons performing service in this position will exert 10 to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• This type of work involves walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time as required by situations of job position.
• Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral and written information, the manual dexterity to move related equipment, and the skills necessary to handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Contracted on seasonal basis.
• Remuneration established by Master Agreement.
• Serves at pleasure of the School Board.
• Should Board decide to release from assignment, remuneration will be prorated on a daily basis of the regular season.
