First Branch Unified District is seeking a 1.0 FTE math interventionist to be responsible for supporting student achievement in mathematics with special attention to Targeted intervention/instruction. The math interventionist provides individual and small group instruction in various settings. The mathematics interventionist will work with current district resources, to collaborate on needs for students, teachers and parents. The ideal candidate has mathematics instructional experience, is flexible, well organized, has strong classroom management, and uses data to make instructional decisions.
The math intervention may teach one to two sections of math per day.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year are in accordance with the current Master Contract and salary schedule.Successful Candidates Should Have: A current Vermont Teacher certification in Mathematics or be eligible for a provisional licenseExperience working with middle school studentsDemonstrated ability to collaborate.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectivelyExperience working with CMP3 and Bridges Math program
