WHITE PLAINS RECREATION & PARKS CAMP EMPLOYMENT
Application Information
We are looking for a Camp Counselor to supervise young campers. Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times. You’ll be responsible for overseeing their activities and ensuring they don’t get lost or hurt. The job duties of a Camp Counselor include running summer camp games, setting up equipment and to encourage children to participate and have fun in camp actvitvites . Being reliable and able to build good relationships with children are two essential traits of a Camp Counselor.
Dates for Employment
2024 Camp Dates: Monday, July 1 – Friday, August 9, 2024
Mandatory Staff Orientation: Saturday, June 22 - 8:30am - 1:30pm
- Must be available for the entire six (6) week camp program to be considered for employment.
- Must be avaible to attend camp orientation.
- Camp counselor rate: $14.65 - $16.50 per hour

White Plains Recreation & Parks office @ 85 Gedney Way, Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5:15pm or Saturday 9 - noon
OR White Plains Recreation & Parks Community Center @ 65 Mitchell Place M – F, 8:30am - 4:30pm
