White Bear Eye Clinic is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Saint Paul, MN

Job Summary:

To collect information as delegated by the doctor to allow for proper diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquaint all new patients with the office procedures to which they will be exposed.
  • Obtain patient history to include chief compliant, history of present illness, past history (ocular and general), family history (ocular and general), and history of allergies and medications.
  • Perform accurate and consistent documentation.
  • Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the doctor, altering the sequence as required.
  • Communicate with other staff to facilitate proper patient flow.
  • Order contact lenses and other supplies
  • Gather data for the doctor to interpret including but not limited to: visual acuity, EOM, CT, pupil function, OCT, VF, IOP, AR.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
