Summary of Position:

Wheelhouse Cannabis dispensary in Venice is looking for a part-time and full-time sales associate/delivery driver.

This is a hybrid role, an employee with this position is expected to perform tasks and fulfill duties traditionally belonging to 2 different positions, requiring a diverse skill set or a willingness to adapt to evolving job requirements.

Candidates must have at least one year experience in retail, excellent communication skills and outstanding customer service. Computer skills and organizational skills are required.

This position is a customer-facing role, and an integral part of helping a company achieve its sales goals. In addition, all drivers/sales associates must have superior knowledge of the cannabis industry, including but not limited to current policies in adult use and medical cannabis. They must have the ability to interpret customers' needs and wants and translate that into the best product for them. This position is for people who have a pleasant and outgoing personality, and S.H.I.N.E. (Smile, Handshake, Introduce, Name, Engage) with each and every person they come in contact with.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pack and verify contents of assigned delivery orders prior to leaving the store
• Assist with order fulfillment for pick up and locker orders when needed
• Communicate with customers via phone and/or text about delivery status
• Delivering orders discreetly and professionally
• Verify and photograph customer documents as needed
• When not delivering: Interact with customers, offering assistance and responding to queries about products and purchases
• Provide recommendations according to customer needs or preferences
• Introduce promotions and new products to customers
• Operate cash register and handle cash payments and card processing
• Stay up to date with sales trends for better service and achievement of sales
• Alert management of potential security issues
• Other duties as assigned by the management

Job Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

• Must be 25 years of age or over
• Must have a valid driver license and liability insurance
• Ability to pass criminal background check
• Must live in Los Angeles County
• Experienced smart device user (cell phone required for delivery)
• Proficiency using POS systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google apps
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
• Must be able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends. Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations and changes.

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training (Preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

• Valid California Driver's License / Older than 25 - must
• Valid Car insurance and clean driving record -must
• Must be able to participate in CA DMV Pull system

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand/walk intermittently for up to 6 hours at a time
• Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop or lift and reach overhead multiple times per shift

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
