Job Summary
Wheeler Dealer is a retail discount grocery and department store. We are in need of responsible people to help us with cashiering and stocking our shelves.
Position Summary: Cashier/Stock Associates support the front end of operations of each store, working with and around customers each shift. They may be scheduled for an entire shift of cashiering or an entire shift of stocking with possibility of cashiering, should the main cashiers need backup at any time.
Responsibilities: Receive deliveries, unload incoming shipments and move pallets, cases into storage or refrigerators. Stock shelves and set up and replenish displays to maintain full appearance, including fronting and straightening products. Help set up displays. Assist customers on sales floor. Greet customers upon entry to store and to the checkout line. Take payments from customers to complete their purchases, ensuring accurate payment is received and accurate change is given.
Job Requirements: 18 years or older. Must have good communication skills
Solid reading and math skill, including calculating sales and discounts.
The ability to work unsupervised at times, continuing to complete assigned projects
Physical abilities require continuous standing, walking, bending, reaching, sitting and carrying loads between 15-50 lbs The ability to contribute in creating a customer focused work environment.
Work Environment: Work space will be on sales floor with some time spent in stock room. Physical activity: Lifting, standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, twisting, reaching.
