Wheelcare Express Inc. is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company that has been proudly serving many counties in Northern California for over 40 years. Wheelcare Express, Inc. currently has offices in Sacramento, San Leandro/Oakland, San Mateo, Santa Rosa/Solano and Tracy. 

WCE is looking for a Branch Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the San Leandro Branch of Wheelcare Express, Inc. This includes coordinating with medical facilities, clients and internal staff to deliver on-time medical transport for our clients. Demonstrate empathy and understanding for clients (children, seniors, individuals with handicaps or illness).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain efficient operations in the service area.
• Recruit, hire & train new employees.
• Provide excellent and effective communication and customer service both internally and to clients and Network Providers/Medical Facilities.
• Manage office staff which includes Drivers, Dispatchers & Schedulers
• Monitor drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and safe driving practices
• Work effectively with billing/accounting to enable efficient revenue cycle
• Document operations appropriately and follow Company policies.
• Prepare for site audits
• Grow Business
• Manage van fleet in regard to safety, maintenance and repairs
• Prepare management reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Transportation Management or related field is a plus
• Experience as a Branch or Office Manager 
• Understanding of basic CA Labor Law is helpful.
• Skills in MS Word, Excel, & Smart Phone Applications. Knowledge of Mediroutes & SyMed software helpful but not required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, along with the ability to work in a very fast-paced, changing environment.
• Effective written and oral communications skills

PAY SCALE 

$60 to $75 K annually dependent on experience
