Summary

The Whatcom County Administrative Services - Division on Facilities is recruiting for summer help employees to perform routine maintenance at a variety of County buildings.
Performs grounds, custodial and facilities maintenance manual tasks related to the upkeep, preventive maintenance and repair of County grounds,structuresand facilities, balancing team and individual responsibilities. Operates and maintains related tools, equipment and machinery, within scope of licensure and established guidelines. Performs manual work to preserve and/or improve the appearance, usefulness and safety of County property and resources. Complies with safety and legal standards and requirements.
Full-time for summer only.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old at time of hire.
• Experience in grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance and repair, and custodial work preferred.
• Must have a driving record that meets County standards and possess a driver's license at time of hire and throughout employment.
• Background check must meet County criteria for security sensitive positions.
