General Description
Hiring for ESL Instructor, GED Instructor, and GED in Spanish Instructor. WCJC campus locations will be Wharton, Bay City, and Richmond Campuses, and off-site locations in Sealy (Austin county) and Eagle Lake in (Colorado county). Classes are from 9am-12pm and 6pm-9pm on Mondays/Wednesdays and Tuesdays/Thursdays.
The Part Time Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Instructor plays a key role in the overall development, implementation, and monitoring of the AEL program's instruction and its respective curricula - High School Equivalency (HSE), English as a Second Language (ESL), Contextualized instruction, and other grant curricula. Requirements
This position requires a bachelor's degree. This position requires at least one year of teaching experience or experience as an instructional Aide in an Adult Education program. This position requires a working knowledge of computer systems and software, superior organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to make sound decisions. This position requires meeting mutually agreed-upon objectives within a specific timeframe. This position requires the ability to develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum and delivery of instruction to meet the needs of multi-learning level adult students all within one given class. A criminal background check is also required.
