Position: Estimator/Project Manage r

General Job Description: The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible preparing project estimates,

procurement of materials, executing subcontract agreements, building, and maintaining project schedules,

tracking production and project administration. The job will be mostly office related. The work schedule will

be Monday - Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Specific Requirements Estimating:

- Analyze drawings, perform material & quantity take-offs, solicit & obtain quotes from suppliers &

subcontractors, interpret specifications.

- Provide detailed budgets, proposals & accurate bids.

- Must be able to learn our project estimating software.

- Communicate affectively with our suppliers and subcontractors during the bid process.

- Understands unit prices and has a thorough understanding of overall scope and pricing.

- Attend pre-bid meetings.

Specific Requirements: Project Manager:

- Procurement of all project materials by releasing purchase orders during the pre-construction phase.

- Draft and submit all subcontractor agreements.

- Build and maintain monthly project schedules using Primavera P6.

- Track production rates versus the bid production rate.

- Perform project administration paperwork.

- Submit project certifications for material.

- Price and track change orders.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Has 5 years' experience in estimating concrete, bridges, grading & utilities.

- Strong organizational skills.

- Works effectively with others and has strong time management skills.
- Has a great attitude and willing to learn and be faced with critical deadlines.

- Detail oriented with the ability to focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and written skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word.

- Strong math skills.

- Ability to handle multiple assignments at one time.
