WFMZ-TV is looking for a diligent and reliable Part-Time Building Maintenance Person to join our team and help ensure our facilities are in excellent condition.

Job Description: The Part-Time Building Maintenance Person will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing repair needs, and ensuring the overall upkeep of the building. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems (heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Conduct repairs, including but not limited to painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Assist with the setup and teardown of furniture and equipment for events and meetings.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address any issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with external contractors for more extensive repairs and maintenance projects.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and supplies.
• Any other task assigned to by management.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in building maintenance, repair work, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Working Hours:

• This is a part-time position with flexible hours. The exact schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
