Front End Development Specialist

Weyco Group, Inc., a Glendale based distributor of shoes, is seeking a full-time Front-End Development Specialist that will assist the marketing team execute all interactive site and email marketing activities related to the portfolio of websites for Weyco Group. The ultimate goal for these efforts is to drive growth, increasing brand awareness, customer acquisition, consumer engagement, and customer retention. They are looking for someone who is technically savvy, creative, hyper-organized, enjoys a fast-paced environment and is ready to dive in and make an immediate impact. The Front End Development Specialist will directly report to the Front End Development Lead, Director of Marketing, the Vice President of Marketing, and will closely collaborate with the IT Web Development Team.

About the role:

· Build, test, maintain and update Weyco Group’s branded websites – accurately replicating design mockups and intended functionality

· Creating and deploying interactive and mobile-friendly applications using HTML, CSS, Javascript

· Assist with functional and visual validation of team’s work using cross browser testing tools and quality control checklists

· Collaborate with internal marketing/web and external vendor teams to quickly resolve critical bugs

· Work with marketing and design teams to ensure email campaigns, site refreshes and redesigns are delivered on time

· Step in as web team liaison to assist marketing team on other site-focused projects – SEO, site speed, AB testing, etc.

· Collaborating with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability and performance

· Collaborate closely with the team email developer, assisting with more technical email personalization and data integrations

About you:

You’re experienced in working with websites and interested in taking a lead role in end-to-end execution of strategic digital marketing initiatives supporting Weyco’s branded websites

You have a creative eye, with an attention to detail

Able to deliver clear and thoughtful communication plans to team members

You’re a self-starter with strong organizational skills and can manage multiple projects from beginning to end

You thrive working in fast-paced and collaborative environments

Job Requirements

• College degree in creative technologies, computer science, information systems or equivalent experience and/or

1 year experience developing sophisticated e-commerce websites

· Basic knowledge of:

o HTML, CSS

o Jquery, Javascript, JSF, Photoshop

o SEO, WCAG, Web Analytics

· A passion for the web and an eagerness to learn

· A readiness to embrace and use new approaches and to keep up-to-date with industry advances

· Strong communication and team collaboration skills

· Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities and a creative eye

· Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment

· Ability to follow and understand code written by other developers

· Enjoy working on multiple brands and projects at one time

· Ability to creatively solve problems
