General Summary:
The Warehouse/Stock is responsible for loading and unloading merchandise from early morning trucks and safely moving material within the warehouse by carrying, lifting and safely operating hand trucks, forklifts or other material handling equipment. The Warehouse/Stock ensures jobs are staged and pulled prior to installation. The Warehouse/Stock may call customers and delivery carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements:
Customer Service
• Project a positive representation of Wexford Ace Hardware.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
• Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously, and effectively.
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Continually build product knowledge base and assist customers with store layout and product location.

Store Appearance and Upkeep
• Keep the store and stock room, including checkout areas and entrance doors, neat and clean at all times.
• Assist with keeping counters stocked with merchandise.
• Respond for cart pickups when necessary.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
• High School or GED equivalent.
• Sales experience preferred, but not required.
• A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Continually build product knowledge base and assist customers with store layout and product location.
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging of merchandise.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.
