About WIN

WIN’s (winla.org) innovative, award-winning model for prevention and early intervention – in-home caregiver-child psychotherapy paired with case management and focused on outcomes – forms the basis for our relationship-based care. In addition to these core services, WIN offers strengths-based, trauma-informed support including family and community events, psychoeducation groups, systems navigation, and other community activities designed to promote social-emotional development and safe, stable, nurturing relationships. In short, our model integrates a network of agencies to identify and address trauma and mental health issues more broadly and earlier in order to prevent the intergenerational transmission of trauma and build family and community resilience.

WIN embraces collaborative community partnerships to empower families with children prenatal to five who are experiencing or are at risk for the impacts of trauma. We serve those with limited access to resources in South Los Angeles and the Westside of Los Angeles. All services are provided without arbitrary time limits and regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.

WIN is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging amongst all of our staff. As an organization, we hold true to our values of mutual respect, operating with integrity, working in collaboration, and upholding individual agency. We commit to embodying relationship-based and strengths-based approaches and demonstrate cultural responsiveness and cultural awareness as a baseline for every interaction with each other and with the families and community we serve. We prioritize the ongoing learning, growth, and reflection that are needed to sustain these values every day.
