Westside Chiropractic is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Reno, NV

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities will be to assist our patients. Your primary job duties will include greeting and checking in patients, collecting patient co-pays, processing paperwork, scheduling appointments, and answering phones. You will also help keep the front office work areas clean and organized, as well as cleaning rooms in between patients.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent

Experience: One-year experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred

Spanish speaker preferred

Phone etiquette

Proficiency in Excel, Word

Basic medical terminology preferred

Typing speed of 45 WPM preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

· Punctual and ready to assist patients promptly at the start of shift.

· Welcomes patients to the office either in person or on the phone; answers inquiries or refers questions to the appropriate staff or physician.

· Promptly and appropriately route incoming calls according to protocols and proper phone etiquette.

· Greet patients at check-in; patient check-in including but not limited to:

· Scan ID/Ins cards

· Verify and update all info on patient information sheets annually; verify address, phone, insurance for all appointments.

· Monitor office schedule/patient flow and notify patients and/or physicians of any delays.

· Ensure rooms are clean and bring back patients to their room.

· Clean and organize rooms in between patients.

· Patient check-out to include but not limited to the following:

· Schedule any follow up appointments as needed

· Collect co-pays/balances, post to account and print receipts.

· Schedule appointments via incoming calls, faxed referrals, or requests from other physicians.
