Career Opportunity 
 The Allegan Facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician for night shift.

GENERAL PURPOSE: Efficiently and expediently handle job duties to minimize machine downtime due to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic failure. Minimize machine down time through preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Identify and repair potential machine problems before causing unscheduled down time
Perform emergency machine repairs in the most expeditious manner to minimize down time
Maintain parts inventory to ensure majority of parts are available for emergency machine repairs
Responsible for performing light fabrication which involves layout, machining, cutting and welding various metals
Perform light carpentry work as needed
Troubleshoots, motors, pumps, compressors and any other systems in plant.
Performs all preventative maintenance.
Works on call as required.
Move and construct any equipment new or old as needed
Handle all general facility maintenance issues
Assist and train machine operators on how to set up machines, proper lubrication, etc.
Builds custom parts on demand.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).
One year certificate from a college or technical school and 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to pass mechanical aptitude test.
Must be able to work on on-call as needed.
Must be certified in various types of welding.
Must have acute troubleshooting skills.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Ability to use basic algebra and geometry to calculate figures and amounts
Must be able to read blueprints.
Must have ability to use hand tools, power tools, welders, torches, mill, lathe, press, grinders, mechanics and machinist tools.
Must be able to maintain good attendance.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
