The Opportunity:

WestRock Aurora Converting & Paperboard MILL is currently seeking a proactive, teamwork-oriented Maintenance Electrician Technician to contribute to the success and growth of the Converting and Paperboard Mill Maintenance department in Aurora, IL.

Pay rate from $21.96 to $32.73 / hour depending on Experience and Knowledge. Full benefits after the 90 days of employment.

How You Will Impact WestRock:

Primary duties include providing safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment.The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair. Have a strong commitment to working safely, demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery and have a desire to advance within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Experienced with 480 VAC, 3 phases along with lower voltages.
• Able to trouble shoot and repair semi-automated production equipment.
• Experience with trouble shooting and PM of large DC and AC motors.
• Able to use electrical test equipment including voltmeter, amprobe and megger.
• Familiar with National Electrical Code and other local safety codes.
• Able to read and interpret English blueprints and equipment technical manuals.
• Able to perform electrical construction projects and repair.

• Able to perform maintenance electrical/mechanic work and maintain a clean work environment.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and masonry construction experience is a plus.
• Ability to change and check fuses, circuit breakers, overloads, install starters, and disconnects, and trouble shoot machines.
• Able to make conduit runs and pull wires.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Able to work on shifts 1^st (7:00am-3:00pm), 2^nd (3:00OM-11:00PM) & 3^rd (11:00PM-7:00AM) & On-Call
• Required to work daily overtime, weekends, and various rotating shifts depending on your knowledge and experience.

Requirements:

• High school degree or GED equivalent
• Desired experience of 3 to 5 years as Electrician/Mechanic in a high-volume manufacturing setting working with PLC, Print Reading, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Troubleshooting skills.
