Job Overview Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of a licensed/registered nurse, the Nurse Assistant in Training delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. The Nurse Assistant in Training will function within the standards of practice as accorded by his/her certification. The Nurse Assistant in Training performs various patient care activities and related non –professional services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of patients. The Nurse Assistant in Training has 120 days to obtain a valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment from the date of hire. If a valid certification is not obtained, the employee will be moved from the Nurse Assistant in Training position to the RCA position.

Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program (Required). A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma. (Preferred)
