Clubhouse Custodian/ Utilities

Please read the job description completely before applying for this position. This is a part time shift of 5 days (30-35 hrs a week). Westlake Clubhouse is open seven (7) days a week and all Holidays except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day, therefore please understand that Holidays and weekends are included in the shifts we are hiring for.

This not a ground keeping, electrical, plumbing or construction position

We provide hands on training and direction for this position

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $17.25 per hour and not negotiable

Must be 21 years of age to apply

Have reliable transportation

This is an all-season position and work is both indoors and outdoors- rain, heat, wind, snow

Monday-Friday 2:30p-11p

Saturdays 6a-2:30p

Sundays 7a-2p

Fridays 6a-2p

Expectations: Including but not limited to-

· Perform general cleaning and tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, spot clean chairs, sweep indoor/outdoor pool decks and clean locker

· Deep Clean lockers rooms with Utility Team twice a week

· Empty trash cans and replace liners

· Be able to lift 60lbs

· Climb step- ladders

· Assist Clubhouse with hanging indoor lights and decorating for events

· Familiar with DVD player, projection equipment, using a laptop or iPad

· Understanding of basic room drawings for an event set up

· Break down a room or reset room – replacing tables/chairs, move chair racks

· Get tasks done in expeditiously manner

· Filling Ice coolers, water stations (summer)

· Basic problem solving

· Being able to apply time management to daily scheduled tasks

· Follow direction

· Getting all routine shift tasks done

· Be on time for shift

Experience:

· Previous experience as a custodian and or utility

· Strong attention to detail and time management skills

· Work with a team as well as your own

· Able to understand that there can be changes that are unexpected and be able to go with the flow

· Understand that this position is physical and repetitive, tasks must be completed by end of shift as to not cause the incoming shift to have compounded tasks to complete

· If this is a second or third job: Being on time to your shift here is mandatory, we cannot accommodate late starts or leaving early

· Dressing appropriately for this position and presenting yourself in a professional and polite demeanor is required

· We have an expected dress code and this is strictly enforced
