Job Description

The Corporate Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing the corporate buildings and Corporate Assets. This indivual will ensure all buildings repair and maintenance are operating efficiently and within budget. This individual is responsible for the performance and development of an Assistant Manager who leads a team that provides maintenance support to the corproate buildings and assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates and approves requisitions for tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Manage and coordinate all facility maintenance activities, including repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance
  • Creates and manages the daily line up of service orders to be completed for the day and week
  • Coordinate repairs and renovations with internal staff and external contractors/vendors
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
  • Assist in developing and managing the facilities budget, including forecasting expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective facility maintenance and repairs
  • Actively identifies ways to improve efficiencies through researching new trends within the industry and implementing findings. Such as new tools, new programs, new vendors, etc.
  • Manages the implementation of regular training sessions that promote cross-training and development of team’s technical skillset.
  • Fosters a safety-first culture by ensuring Team Members are practicing safe working habits and providing safety training as required by the Westgate Risk Management Department.
  • Reviews HotSOS data such as open service orders and completed service orders to identify any areas of opportunity for training, efficiency, team usage, compliance, etc.
  • Able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of management experience in General Maintenance, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2 years of technical training 
  • Must be proficient in computer skills, with knowledge and skill in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required; experience with Oracle Fusion, SharePoint and HotSOS, preferred.
  • Experience in facilities management, maintenance, or construction industry is required

Education & Certifications

  • High School, GED or Trade School required.
  • Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must have valid driver's license. 
  • General knowledge and understanding of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems operations and how to troubleshoot to identify and mitigate issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises a manager with direct reports comprised of maintenance team members. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties related to this position the team member is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; bend; and talk or hear; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The team member will regularly visit construction sites.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Abilities
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The team member is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, and extreme heat. The team member is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors.

Travel

This role requires travel from site to site at our corporate buildings and assets.
