Responsibilities

*A strong commitment to building relationships with families of children.

* Reliable transportation

*Must be willing to work with children ages 6-12.

*Must be willing to help with daily activities, including supervising, cleaning, and providing safety checks.

*Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be physically able to supervise children in all outdoor environments such as water, woods, and grassy areas.

*Must be able to work with all types of weather conditions, including rain, heat, etc. Must be flexible in order to adapt to changing weather conditions.

Must be friendly with all people that come into contact with your students. Must have a positive attitude and great communication skills

Skills

• Proven experience as a teacher assistant/camp counselor or work with children in various capacities
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to guide and teach children in conflict resolution skills
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
• The ability to be flexible and a team player
• Certification in child CPR & First Aid. We will reinbuse you if you need to get certified
• Use our app to communicate with parents and track children's daily activities
• Collaborate and communicate with other staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Adhere to all Virginia state DOE licensing standards
• Passionate about positive impacting children's lives

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
