The WKU School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) invites applications for the position of full-time, nine-month appointment at the rank of Instructor I in Civil Engineering/Construction Management for the 2023 - 2024 academic year. The responsibilities include teaching and service.
The candidate is expected to have experience in civil engineering and construction management disciplines. The responsibilities of this position include high quality teaching. The candidate should be able to teach undergraduate courses and laboratories in at least three of the following areas with the capacity to grow in two other areas: Construction Management, Equipment and Methods, Soil Mechanics, Materials of Construction, and Surveying.
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented, diverse, multicultural environment, while providing service and support to WKU, Ogden College of Science & Engineering, SEAS, and the Civil Engineering and Construction Management programs' mission of project-based education that is both effective and sustainable. Candidates with civil engineering and construction field experience are encouraged to apply.
Our faculty take ownership of the program's curricula and create the kinds of design and analytical experiences necessary to prepare students for the start of their professional careers.
