ICDC Disadvantaged Community SpecialistNEW

  • Responsibilities:
    • Research funding opportunities
    • Provide grant application review for municipalities and nonprofits
    • Meet regularly with in-person or by Zoom with rural city officials
    • Assist rural municipalities in creating a development plan of action
    • Markets all programs under the Value-Added Sustainable Development Center
    • Assists in fulfilling the goals outlined in ICDC grants
    • Gathers and analyzes information for reports, grant writing, and budgets
    • Conducts outreach to communities, educational organizations, non-profits and individuals
    • Report activities in a timely manner
  • Required Qualifications:
    CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sociology, Geography, or a related field that focuses on sustainability issues and/or community and economic development
    • Three (3) years direct experience working with local government or other relevant experience
    • Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1 year) of work experience.
  • Starting Salary: $4,206 /Monthly
