Western Dairy Transport is Hiring an Employee Services - HR Assistant - Cabool Near Cabool, MO

Job Summary: The Human Resource Assistant performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the human resource team.
Essential Job Functions:
Answer phone and greet public and coworkers in a professional manner
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees relative to benefits, policies, and hiring processes with sensitivity and confidentiality, and refer complex matters to the appropriate staff
Conduct weekly new hire orientation and assist with the recruiting and onboarding process
Administer the learning management system including creating and maintaining content and ensures proper enrollment and training are assigned
Plan and coordinate professional development (internal and external) opportunities to employees
Communicate with employees pertaining to benefit enrollments, collections and deadlines and assist with the yearly open enrollment process
Prepare and process benefits leave of absence invoices
Process status changes for new hires and terminations related to benefits enrollments
Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives
Utilize HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to maintain accurate employee records
Generate reports and analyze HR data as needed
Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
Present a professional image for all employees and responds with courtesy and a sense of urgency to assist employees
Maintain confidentiality of all records, personal employee information, wage, benefits, and other sensitive information and adhere to HIPPA laws
Continually learning the latest and best HR practices to improve workplace efficiency
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s license in state of residency with acceptable driving record
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to the company random drug and alcohol program
Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights/weekends and travel as needed
Preferred:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
At least two years related experience
Knowledge of Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
Professional HR Certification
Pay Scale: This is a full-time hourly position pay ranges $16.00 - $20.00 based on experience.

Physical Demands: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator, and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed primarily in an office environment and occasionally, in a commercial motor vehicle terminal operations environment thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office/CMV equipment. Exposure to various climate conditions, fumes, dust, odors, oil/grease, and gasses.
